Hi, I'm Abbey. I'm 21 and a student living in Leeds. I'm following the Slimming World diet and so far have lost 1 and a half stone since May! Another great loss! Shame it's for the wrong reasons.

Lost 3.5lbs this week! Great news after putting 2lbs on last week. Except I've not eaten much at all. Not really followed plan. Just eaten one or two meals a day. 

Feeling much better today about the break up with my ex. He and his family have basically shown themselves up, none of them willing to apologise for the way they have treat me and trying to make out like I'm a liar and its all my fault. End of day they know the truth as well as I do and they can try twist it all they want, it doesn't matter to me. It just outlines their immaturity and how low they really are. My hands are washed of them now!

And after realising that they are all alike and not really very nice people, I feel much happier that I don't have to deal with any of that :)

Feeling much more optimistic about the future now. 

So this week I'm going to try super hard to stick to plan. I'm going to have plenty of scan bran and super free food. My 3.5lbs loss has given me a boost, as has the attitude from my ex and his family. I'm back in Leeds at the minute so I'm in control of my food completely, and am going to try make time for some exercise. 

Ooh I've got two job interviews this week.  So maybe ill have good luck this week and as well as realise I've had a lucky escape and have a fab weight loss, I might (fingers crossed) also get a job!

Anyway, sorry for the rant! Just feels so good to get stuff written down, even if nobody reads it. Hope everyone else has done well this week. :)

The week before Star Week

The week before Star Week is the worst week! Does anyone else find that they just crave all food all week and eat everything in sight? I just eat everything I can get my hands on! As a consequence I put 2lbs on :( I've put off blogging all week because of this reason.

Our Woman of the Year was crowned after losing a huge 5.5 stone! Really pleased for her and wish her so much luck at the next stage :)

Anyway, I'm determined to lose this 2lbs so yesterday after Weigh In (I usually have a blow out on Tuesday nights) I made a Scan Bran cake and some Fererro Rocher. Scan Bran has been helping me lose more weight faster so I'm going to make the most of this week. So I've eaten both of these throughout yesterday and today. I've also made my Super Quorn Chilli (See July Recipes) because it's so quick to make and is full of free foods! I packed it full of frozen mushrooms and peppers because I need to get my free food numbers up.

Well this was just a quick update. I've got my Skills Tests for Uni tomorrow so got loads of revision to cram in, and then going to Skegvegas on Friday for a long weekend!

Some good news!

So I got weighed on Tuesday aaaaannndddd....

I'd lost 4.5lbs! Wooohoooo! Super pleased with that! I got my 1.5 stone award too! So that's 22lb in total! 
I've also been speaking to my 'ex' (for want of a better term, that sounds so depressing!) boyfriend trying to sort out what happened and whether it's worth continuing with our relationship. So fingers crossed that works out for the best too!

I still haven't been eating much, yesterday I had:

Breakfast: Weetabix and milk with blueberries and banana (HexA and HexB)

Couldn't manage anything for dinner 

Tea: Batchelors beef rice

Snacks: Muller toffee yogurt, weetabix and milk with sweetener, banana and cocoa powder (HexA, HexB and 2 syns), Squares bar (6 syns)

So I'm not eating too great if I'm honest. However, this morning I made myself a SW fry up. Smaller than what I usually have, but at least it's something!
I made my sister one too, and she requested fried onions with hers.. I don't know if it's just me but I wouldn't have fried onions with a fry up on a morning? Might just be me. 
This part is wierd though.. she put some baked beans, bacon, mushrooms and onion on a teacake with a cheese slice and some ketchup. That is NOT normal!!

I've been trying to keep myself busy so I've painted my nails a few times (I recently purchased some nail stamping equipment and have fallen in love), and my sister let me paint hers last night.

I've got loads of practice because I need to get neater but I really love how great they look! The patterns come out so clear :)

Anyway, I've got some revision to do now. I have an exam next week and still need to start revising!

Need to stop being depressed!

I'm still pretty down about my break up atm. None of my housemates are back yet and I can't go home until tomorrow night at the earliest because I've got a trial shift for a job tomorrow.

Today I didn't have anything to eat until 2pm, when I had weetabix with milk, banana and blueberries. Then later on I had a chicken mugshot and a SW ferrero rocher. I just can't face the thought of cooking or eating or doing anything. I went to the Post Office in Bramley because the website said that was the nearest one open on a Saturday, but when I got there it was closed :/ so went to the Asda to get some black trousers. I managed to get them two sizes smaller than normal - but they are stretch material!

Since getting home about 4pm, all I've done is sit on the bed and refresh Facebook. I just don't feel like doing anything. I've just wasted the whole day. I'm still hurting because of what happened and I just don't have the motivation to get up and do anything. Only time will heal I guess.

Just felt like I needed to get my thoughts down somewhere. Hope anyone who's read this hasn't got themselves depressed too now haha!

Bit of a downer today..

Today I'm on a downer. I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years last night. We had a huge argument and he ended up calling his parents who drove up to Leeds to get him and take him home. We had a weekend away booked in London for next weekend so today I've had to call the company up and request a refund. It was paid on his card though so I've had to contact him to sort out a transfer to my account for my half of the money. We also had tickets to see Jimmy Carr in October so I've sold those today and need to give him his half of that. Then I had a job interview for a pub / restaurant in the city centre. So can safely say today has been a lot of stress!

I've tried not to stress-eat but I've made some more Ferrero Rocher earlier so I need to be in control and not eat them all in one go! I couldn't stomach my breakfast this morning, had a tiny dinner and that's it. I can never eat when I'm upset. But I know it's no good moping around.

So I had my job interview earlier and I've been invited to do a trial shift on Sunday. I'm nervous because I haven't worked behind a bar since this time last year! I need to buy some black trousers for it so it will be interesting to see if I can buy a smaller size yet (I've lost 17.5lbs). I can't wait to be able to shop where I want again. It's so depressing buying all your clothes from the same shops! Asda, Matalan, Evans, New Look Inspire section.. I have never bought clothes from Topshop!

Anyway, going to see if my Ferrero Rocher is refrigerated enough yet. Be back soon guys.

RECIPE: Scan Bran Curly Wurly Cake

This cake is just 8 Syns if you use the Scan Bran as your HexB!

Ingredients
4 Scan Bran slices
2 eggs
Curly Wurly
Sachet of Options Hot Chocolate
Water
Sweetener

Method
1. Pour boiling hot water over the Scan Bran to soften, then mash and drain.
2. Beat the eggs, then stir into mix with Options and sweetener (add sweetener to taste)
3. Chop the Curly Wurly into small pieces and stir in
4. Pour the mixture into a microwavable bowl and cook for approximately 6 minutes. Be warned! The Curly Wurly will probably melt underneath and it will be sticky! When cooked the cake will pull away from the sides of the bowl.

For a few more Syns, I spread my cake with Nutella ;) it was absolutely gorgeous! My cake totalled 12 syns and I ended up eating it all the same day! Definitely going to make again, so quick and easy to make!

Once out of the Microwave. See the pieces of Curly Wurly that has melted!
